Quixotic's mystery gift pack

Quixotic are giving a mystery pack, and all they wish you to do is choose your own favorite card of 2009. that simple... or maybe not... I coludn't make up my mind which of my cards to choose, and I've been crafting only 4 month... A year ahead, and no way I can choose at all.
Eventually I diceded on the wreth card with the buttons because I did it recently so I'm still under it's impression and becaues with this card I really felt my mojo.
so go and check that challenge and try to choose only one card of your own creations....

Yummy birthday card

This card I've made for a 6y girl, who celebrates her birthday in a few days. Her mother, a good friend of mine, invited us to the birthday party, so I wanted to make a special birthday card for her.
As Pam, at 365 cards, asked, I went to dig for some forgotten stash :), and what do you know, I looked very deep, as I was asked, and I've found two of them! one is the doily , and the other one is the corner chipboard. hip hip hooray! so thank you very much, Pam, for making me do so, 'cause there are a lot of those doilies so you all are going to see them around the coming cards...
I love this color combo! and some challenges took this combo. I inked the doily with blue & brown ink (and it looks as if I spillt some coffee over the doily LOL) The image is from simple doodles (don't forget to pop over there in a few days, as I start my GD for January! it'll be a lot of fun!), and I colored it with watercolor pencils, sakura metalic blue and added shiny pink stickles as toping of the cupcake, and it looks almost real :) very yummy. Imade the blue fan flower (it such a fun making them. maybe I'll get to post a turtorial about variant flower making techniques).
and it goes for the following challenges:
sketch - friday sketchers (there is also a blog hop there!)
color combo - #49 the color dare (I've made top 3 last challenge there!); #10 the play date cafe; #13 colour Q (Arielle brings each time a rocking photo for inspiration! thank you Arielle); #39 cupcake inspiration (Rachel also brings great cupcakes photos to inspire us!)

and last but not least , digging deep - day 306 at 365 cards

hugs
Libeeti }{

With all due respect: There is nothing new under the sun...

This photo was the inspiration theme for day 304 at 365 cards .
Pam asked us to use this cd cover as an inspirtation and she gave it the title: "sounds great"...
To tell you the truth, I havn't got the slightest idea what "glee" is, and this over yellow photo gave me a terrible headache...
the only inspiration I can think of from this cd cover is the word "music", and I needed badly to calm my nerves after all that yellow, so nothing like a little good cheating .. and therefore I bring you one of my "oldies", I've made a few weeks ago, and it was a very musical one.
I guess if I had to make a ~new~ one for this challenge, I'd probably use the same music notes dp, and I do love this card, with the little bird and the color combo, so why not reuse it here?...
)need I say it again that Pam never asked that our cards will be ~new~ for each chellenge?...) sohere you are, my songbird card:

A quadrant Thank You card

Today the challenge at 365 cards was to divide (and conquer...): Pam challenged:
It's about dividing your card into quadrants - there should be 4 equal parts and each quadrant should contain one of the following:1 stamped sentiment1 punched out item1 floral embellishment1 rhinestone
And there should be no overlap of items from quadrant to quadrant (but items within a quadrant can overlap).
Also, using the rhinestone as an example, you can have several of them if you wish, but they can only be in one quadrant Well, that was a real challenge!
I saw the challenge of once in a blue moon at gingersnap, and it's exactly what I needed here. I chose the option of CAS with a pp, and that what came out...
as always, it goes for some challenges:
divide & conquer - day 305 at 365 cards - the upper left quadrant with 3 small punched flowers; the upper right quadrant with 3 tiny rhinestones on each flower; the lower left quadrant with flower button embellishment; the lower right quadrant is with the stamped sentiment. Pam, I promised you flowers instead of tomatoes...
case a CAS - gingersnap
anything but christmas - #50 charisma carz
as always, I'd be happy to read your comments. thank you for looking at my card. have a lovely day!

Some recycling

Here for some recycling - I've made it from toilet paper tubes (the pocets), and from cereal packege (the tags). I gave it to my dear sister and it can be used as a mini album.
I love the colorfulness of it, it gives me a sense of happiness and joy. A good start for the new year.
and it goes for the following chellenges:
trash to treasure - get sketchy
anything but a card! - #32 allsorts

Put a minimum of TEN circles on your card and try to avoid overlap as much as possible.
Okay, Pam, there are 10 green big circles, and many many more white tiny circle over the polka dots ribbon.... LOL and no, this is no cheating. we were encouraged to use creative ways to put those circles.

A Buttoned Wreath

Day 296 at 365 cards - Pam aked for a wreath, but we were not allowed to stamp a wreath or use pp with wreaths. the whole idea was DIY kind of challenge...

I never had a real wreath, and never hanged one on my door. I made this buttoned wreath as a birthday card for my mom, she'll be 76 in 12 days!

I used pp from indian summer of Basic Greay and stamped it with flourish stamp. for the wreath I cut a golden ks in the O shape and covered it with fabric leaves and lots of lots of lots of buttons (I love those flower shaped ones. got myself lots of them, ih many colors). the lace is brown in real light, only in the photo it looks black... on top of the lace I adhered the pale blue flower, added the sentimen (a new one I just got as my rak on Irit Shalom's #1 royal challenge) and the two roses on a riboon in the corner.

Get well card

So I was laughing a little in my previous post, but now it's time for some serious business. no kidding now.... or at least - no cheating... wink wink.
The challenge of day 292 at 365 cards was:
I know I've asked this question before, but how does this ad inspire your card?
My inspiration came from those hanging socks, so I kind of 'hanged' the pp, just like you do with the laundry... LOL. and naturally - the colors. only we don't celebrate Christmas, so I've made this 'get well' card, using the lovely sentiment from simple doodles, ecpecially for Gloria, 365 cards' DT, who has been ill for the last days (only those germs influenced her with a lot of mojo..). So, Gloria, I hope you're feeling much better now, and the other post, the cheating one, was a tribute to you and to Rose... now I must get back my halo LOL
and btw, those glittered heart buttons - I put some wet glue on them and then put them into the gold glitter... (does it sounds familiar to you, Gloria? LOL)

Getting Green...

It's all about recycling... you know, making a ~new~ card everytime instead of using what you've already made before is not very "green" to earth...
o.k., o.k. one just might say it's all about chaeting...
Shakespeare said: as you like it....
Day 292 at 365 cards was an ad inspiration challenge.
Well, so so Christmasi... I was afraid that I got too much of this halo thing, plus I was encouraged by my rebel friends to do some cheating...
and so I just gathered almost all of my Red-Green creations (btw - all of them are CREATIONS WITH LOVE.... )
and once again I say - Pam never said a word about "new", so this time I allow myself to bring something "old"... hey, it's holidays time, relaxation time, isn't it?
just to bring a smile to you. hope you enjoy the joke, as much as I did....

A little quick love card

Fire, she said, be inspired by fire... that is the challenge for day 294 at 365 cards.
maybe, just maybe, Gloria and Rose are right and Pam really drinks some odd drinks just before she gives us her challenges...
I had no idea for this "fire inspirationg". finally it came to me - "you set my heart on fire"!
sorry, Pam, that's the best inspiration I got from this fireplace you brought to us...
the heart and the sentiment inside it - simple doodles (I should thank Trish, the owner, for giving love theme images long before Valentine's Day)
this time - no other challenges ... (who thinks of Valentine's Day now?!), so it is only for day 294 at 365 cards.
edit: o.k. Rose, just for you, here is another challenge:
j is for jewels - alphbet
blingy - #43 corrosive
clean & simple - think tuesday
that's it. only one card left for last week's challenges, but I just can't keep my eyes open...
thanks for looking at my card. spread the love.....

Good Luck! just in case you need it :)

Indeed, this color combo of day 293 at 365 cards is lovely! I just didn't understant who are those "we" Pam referred to in her post. I was under the impression that 365 cards is a one Queen monarchy, and that Pam is the only one that set up the challenges (and the rules, of course. Gloria is there to break them... LOL). Or is it the royal way of speach?
At first, I just wanted to cheat so badly!!! I thought to myself: Hey, that's an easy one! Ican upload this card I've made a month ago, and that's it (yeh, I know that there is no purple/lilach in that card, but once you're a rebel, you're used to bend the rules anyway... ).
o.k., o.k. I understand. it's the holiday season, and everybody is on the edge now, and Gloria is ill so who will stand for me when I rebel, etc. etc.
so I made this card. lucky me, there was some scraps of that pp, so I didn't have to look for the colors. I used scallop border die cut, the sentiment is rub-ons on the chipbaord and the flower is pre-made, for a change...
I wasn't sure what the outcome will be, but finally I love this card.
the challenges it fits:
color scheme - day 293 at 365 cards
chip chip - #28 pile it on
J is for jewels - alphbet
pick 3 - stamping vacation (pp with strips, with circles )the dotty one), and with flowers).

anything goes - #41 creative card crew
anything goes - forever friends
Thank you for your time and atention. as always, I'd love to read your comments.
and have a good luck in everything you do!

Famous Blue Raincoat... Just because...

Edit:
This card won at Simple Doodles , so I'll be GD for February, as well as of January!
The challenge on day 289 at 365
cards was musical:
I've done several challenges in the past, and will do more in the future, that ask you to base your card on a song that I choose. But what if you could choose your own? Which one would it be?
At first, I thought it has to be holiday song, Gloria's card, as a DT, just gave me that impression (great card - just pop to Gloria's blog and see for your self, along with more beautiful cards).
but then I asked Pam, and she said it can be any song that inspires me.
Well, ever since the real winter has begun here, I've been thinking of doing a card inspired by Leonard Cohen's song: "Famous Blue Raincoat", so thank you so much, Pam, for giving me the opportunity :)
Take a moment to hear the song, feel the atmosphere, after all it is "the end of December", and I'm sure "New York is cold"...
and if you ask why... well the answer is in the card... enjoy!
