Happy Holiday cards for Altair Art

Happy Holidays to all!
Today I'm sharing some simple, yet beautiful, Happy Holiday cards to share with you, as my DT project for Altair Art blog.
These cards were made as part of a charity project, for elderly people.
The cards are very simple, not sophisticated, but the beautiful Altair Art papers make them so special.

I've used scraps from different collections, some fussy cut here and there, using some punches and enamel dots, and the same stamp in different colors of inks.

I wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Treasures from the sea - an altered frame for Art and Soul Challenge Blog

Today I would like to share with you an altered frame I've made for Art & Soul Studio challenge blog.
I was inspired by the current moodboard:
The frame looked like this:
I took the back out and covered it with Finnabair's black gesso, then I worked with a modeling paste and a stencil to give some texture.
The next step was to color with Lindy's Gang sprays (Tainted Love Teal, Tibetan Poppy Teal, C'est la vie Cerise). Then I adhered trinkets, sea shells and molds, and colored them with Finnabair's acrylic paint - metalic light patina and mermaid sparkle.
The same way I worked with the frame itself, only this time the basis was Finnabair's white gesso.
After all was dry, I added more colros and depth with more Lindy's Gang sprays, this time adding some brownish hues (Shabby Turbine Teal, Afternoon Delight Denim, Clam Bake Beige, Fuzzy Navel Peach, Tawny Turquoise Vintage, Treasure Iland Aqua Vintage).
For the final touch, I added some Finnabair's mini art stones, to get the look of the sand, and some white gesso splatters, here and there.

An accordion style mini album for Altair Art

Today it's my turn at Altair Art blog, and I'm sharing this lovely accordion style mini album, made with the beautiful papers from Ever Dream collection and Flower Harmony collection.
This mini was made for a sweet 15Y young lady, and it can hold more than 15 photos. there're pockets and inserts, and place for journaling.
I wanted it to remain flat, so I didn't use 3D embellishments, just a few fun stickers and enamel dots.
Here're photos of the spreads and the inside:

Merry Christmas card for Altair Art

The new challenge at Altair Art blog requires using a natural element on your creation, so I've added some twigs to my center element.
I've stamped a large script plus Christmas greeting stamp on a pp, cut it around and adhered it on a wooden look pp.
I stamped some leaves with embossing ink and then used Lindy's embossing powder - Black Forest Black. I fussy cut the leaves and colored them with different Lindy's Gang sprays - Ponderosa Pines Olive shimmer and Cathedral Pines Olive shimmer.
A large red flower on top, and the twigs around - and my card is done!

Life is good - CSI case file no. 267

A new month, with a new challenge at CSI, case file no. 267:
For quite a long time I had no idea what to do with this case file. I don't celebrate Christmas and the moodboard was so so Christmas!
Finaly, I decided to go 'freestyle' and to let myself be inspired by the colors scheme. I used a photo from our travel to Paris. When we walked down Champ-Elysees, we were caught in a heavey rain and found shelter at Paul's, warming ourselves with hot chocolate and macaroons.
When I looked for the matching pp, I came across an old My Mind's Eye paper, which had all the colors on on side, while the reverse side had a great geenish pattern. I wanted to use both sides of the paper, so I decided to make the folded circles. Who said you can't eat your cake and have it too?....
The design is kind of scraplift from Stacy Cohen.
The pp for the base is from Craftandyou and the pp for the photo matting are from Studio 75 'The Peony Avenue' collection.
I also used the following clues: dots, a tag, create your design using a grid.
My journaling, on the tag attached to the photo, describe this lovely moment.

US - a mini album for Altair Art

Happy Saturday, it has been rainy here for the past two days, but now the sun is showing..
With this atmosphere, I'd like to share with you a mini album I've made as a DT for Altair Art blog.
This mini measures 8.25"x5", and althouh it has only 2 pages inside, it can hold more than 20 (!) photos, in different sizes, and lots of place for journaling.
I've made this mini from scratch - chipboards covered with efalin paper, decorated with the beautiful papers from Altair Art collection  called 'Nightfall':
To make this mini I've used the awesome tutorial by Frances Long (Your Book of Memories), and you can fine it HERE.
I also made a walk through video, to show all the treasures inside this mini album:

I'd like to enter this mini album to the current challenge at Mini Album Makers blog.

Just be yourself - an art journal for Art and Soul Studio

Happy Monday, I'm excited to share with you my creation as a Guest Designer for Art & Soul Studio blog.
I was inspired by the current challenge, which is a bold and beautiful moodboard, and you have to use red:
I took my inspiration from the feminine photos, the checkered pattern and the splatters, and decided to make an art journal, with a message from the older me to the younger me.
Here're some close ups:

I also made a video of the creative porcess:
I was also inspired by two more challenges:
7 Dots Studio, with this stunning moodboard:

Lindy's Gang November colorful challenge:
Other products I've used:
Ranger's Archival ink - vermillion, watering can, shadow gray, jet black.
