I used my Feb Counterfeit Kit for this lo, to create a joyful and cheerful page. While we were visitng the Ausralian Park, the boys decided to measure the kangaroo's height, and I titled the layout 'Measuring heights'. It was so lovely to see how gentle they were and how freindly the kangaroo was.

A Magical Journey-CSI plus OUAS

Today I want to share with you a lo I've made for two challenges sites, both concentrate on journaling.

My clues to solve the CSI case file were:
Scheme - all 5 colors are on my page.
Eveidence - circles, book pages, tearing, buttons, hearts.
Testimony - on the hidden tag, behind the photo: "Once upon a time there were two little princes and their Mummy. Every night Mummy read stories to her princes, and they were facinated by the magical worlds she revealed in her reading. They kept asking for 'one more story' and Mummy was so happy to see her little princes' delight, so she went on and on. As the princes grew up they learned to read, but still they insist to hear Mummy's reading, so she keeps on reading to her princes every evening, as she dreams of the days she will read to their little princes and princesses. Nov 2012."

This is my 1st lo done for Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge, and due to some family health issues, I'm a little late... but better late than never, right?

April 1st challenge at AFSC asked to scrap about our current/past challenge in life. Well, I have a lot of challenges these days... LOL. Since I'm in the middle of a hectic and stressful period, I think my biggest challenge today is to relax, to think straight, and to figure out what is the best way to deal with each problem in my life. For me, the best place on earth to have all the right insights is the seaside in my hometown. Just watching the waves, take a deep and good breath, and calming myself.

My hidden jouranling, under the photo, is all about the things I'm facing right now and what I think the most important things in my life, just to get proportions :).

It's funny, but I've noticed that whenever I scrap about me and the sea, I tend to use this color palette of blue/cream/yellow. I guess the sky, the sun and the sand are a calming combination...

I would like to enter this lo to the 'scallops' challenge at Frosted Designs.

זו משימת צוות העיצוב הראשונה שלי בבלוג של Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge, ועקב אילוצי בריאות משפחתיים אני קצת באיחור, אבל עדיף מאוחר מאשר אף פעם לא...

האתגר הראשון לחודש אפריל הוא להכין דף על האתגר הגדול ביותר בפניו אנו ניצבים כעת (או בעבר). אני בעיצומה של תקופה מאד מאתגרת, כך שאתגרים מסוגים שונים לא חסרים לי. ודווקא בתוך כל המהומה הזאת, נראה לי שהאתגר הגדול מכולם הוא להצליח גם למצוא רוגע ושלווה, עם תובנות לגבי הדרך הנכונה בה עלי ללכת, והאופן הנכון בו עלי להתמודד עם שלל האתגרים מסביב.

עבורי, המקום האולטימטיבי גם למציאת שלווה וגם להתבוננות פנימה הוא שפת הים, ובעיקר בעיר ילדותי חיפה. זהו מקום לדאגה, אבל לא במובן השלילי של המילה, אלא במובן הכי חיובי (מזמינה  אתכן לקרוא את מילות השיר ששימש לי השראה...).

השתמשתי בסקיצה של MME, שהיא מזמינה שכבות כמו שאני אוהבת. כמובן שלא הסתפקתי בשכבות שיש בסקיצה, והוספתי עוד כמה. כל החומרים בדף הזה הם מתוצרת MME, שהיא אחת החברות האהובות עלי ביותר, אם לא החברה בהא הידיעה. חזרתי גם לדסטרס בהיסטריה את הדפים. אין כמו התעללות בדפים להוצאת מתח פנימי :))), וחוץ מזה הדפים של MME הם מעולים לדיסטרוס בזכות העובי והמרקם שלהם.

Family - The Sweetest Thing

March 2nd challenge at About A Boy is Scraps - use only scraps for your boyish layout. Everything in my lo is from my March counterfeit kit, and all the dp are scraps. I didn't cut any new dp for this lo, and some of the embellishments are made from scraps too (the paper straw - here's a tutorial I've made; the sub title, the small banners).
I used March sketch from Purple Pumpkin (and also used some of their buttons):

I used Mr Huey's mist and white gel pen for the faux stitching. I also used a homemade paper envelope (and here the tutorial how I've made them).

האתגר השני לחודש מרץ בבלוג של About A Boy הוא להשתמש בשאריות בלבד. כל החומרים בדף הזה הם מקיט החיקוי של חודש מרץ, ולמעשה אף נייר מדוגם בו השתמשתי כאן לא נחתך במיוחד לדף הזה, כולם שאריות מפרוייקטים קודמים. גם 'קש' הנייר עשוי משארית (לפי ההדרכה שכאן), ואפילו כותרת המשנה היא בעצם הפס שיש בתחתית כל דף מדוגם (במקרה הזה של MME). ממש דף חסכוני. השתמשתי גם בשקיות הנייר המדוגמות (הדרכה להכנתן), בכפתורי בד מנוקדים ומדליקים. השפרצתי קצת Mr Huey's, והוספתי תיפורים בעט לבן. שלושת הינשופים, בשלושה גדלים שונים, התאימו לי מאד לתמונה :)).

Remember This Momemt (no journaling)

The 1st challenge at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog is an easy peassy one - no journaling. Since journaling is, unfortunately, one of my weak spots in scrapping, it was a real relief for me to be assigned to this challenge LOL.

After being uncertain what background to use, I finally decided on the pink one. I know, not so common for boyish layouts, but I really think it goes perfectly with the mix of colors of the photo and the dp I used here.

I used a brick mask and then heat embossed it with UTEE. I also heat embossed the stampped title. I used two paper bags I've made myself (I will post a tutorial in a couple of days), an orange dotted fabric button (Purple Pumpkin's), another button and twe die-cut flowers. I also added the owls sticker, I find it very cute.

האתגר הראשון בבלוג של קיט החיקוי הוא להכין דף ללא ג'ורנלינג. מאחר שג'ורנלינג הוא נקודה חלשה מאד אצלי, האתגר הזה היה קליל ביותר עבורי. כל החומרים בדף הזה הם מקיט החיקוי.

התחלתי את הדף הזה מבנייה של השכבות מתחת לתמונה - דפים מדוגמים ושקיות הנייר עם הזיגזג שהכנתי בעצמי. התלבטתי על איזה דף רקע להציב את השכבות עם התמונה. לבן חלק נראה לי כבר שגרתי מידי, כחול היה חזק מידי מול הצבעים האחרים, קראפט לא התאים. בסוף, עם תעוזה מסויימת, ניסיתי גם עם הדף הורדרד הזה, ובינגו! התאים לי בול. הפסטליות של דף הרקע הייתה הרקע המתאים ביותר לחגיגה הצבעונית של השכבות והקישוטים. לתוספת עניין, עבדתי עם מסיכה של לבנים ואח"כ הבלטה חמה עם UTEE. הצילום, כרגיל, לא משקף את הטקסטורה, שיצאה עם גלזורה מבריקה. החותמת עם המשפט הייתה הכותרת המתאימה ביותר לדף שמוקדש לתמונה של הילדודס כשהיו קטנים, מזחקים גן שעשועים באגם חי ביראון.

A Perfect Day

This is my take on #15 sketch at my scraps&more sketches, and it's my 4th lo with my Feb Counterfeit Kit. Here's the sketch:

The photo is of my eldest, about 5 years ago, on a sunny Saturday. We really had a perfect day then.

The cogwheels chipboards were cut with my newest die, and then covered with gesso, inked with distress ink and embossed with UTEE, and then topped with these cute heart shape buttons.

Instead of a stripe of patterned paper on the bottom, I've made two paper straws. I moved the title from the upper part and placed it on the paper straws. The embllishmnet on the upper right corner was made from punched hearts and topped with a flair button. I also wrote "love you" as part of the decoration on that corner, and doodled a faux stitched frame.

הדף הרביעי מקיט החיקוי של חודש פברואר, גם כן בסגנון נו"פ גרפי. הצ'יפבורדים של גלגלי השיניים נחתכו בביג שוט בעזרת תבנית החיתוך החדשה שלי (ומה מתאים יותר מגלגלי שיניים לדף של בנים....), ועברו טיפול מסיבי של ג'סו, דיו דיסטרס ו-UTEE. כקונטרסט, שמתי במרכזו של כל גלגל שיניים כפתור חמוד בצורת לב.

הקישוט בפינה הימנית העליונה הורכב מלבבות מפונצ'צ'ים, ובמרכז הדבקתי flair button. את מיקום הכותרת שיניתי לעומת הסקיצה, והעברתי אותה לתחתית הדף, בהדבקה על 'קשים' מנייר. הוספתי גם מסגרת תיפורים בעט לבן, והדף גמור.

התמונה היא של הבכור, לפני כ-5 שנים, בגן הפסלים בחיפה. זו הייתה שבת קסומה, שהניבה גם הרבה תמונות מקסימות של הילדודס.

את קיט החיקוי של החודש הרכבתי עם שני סגנונות שונים במחשבתי, מחד דפים עם צבעים חזקים ודוגמאות בולטות, שמזמינים עיצובים קלילים ועליזים. מאידך, דפים עם צבעים מרוככים ודוגמאות עדינות, שמזמינים עיצובים רכים ווינטאג'יים. ובין שני הסגנונות הללו אני מזפזפת במהלך החודש.

הנה הצצה קטנטנה לדף אותו אעלה בעוד כמה ימים, שכל כולו בסגנון וינטאג'י:

for case file #56 at CSI

My 9th lo with my Jan Counterfeit Kit(!), made with the inspiration of case file #56 at CSI:

The photo is of my eldest at the seaside, 2.5 years ago. He really looks groovy :)).

The clues Iused to solve the case were:

Scheme - I used all 5 colors.

Evidence - clouds, string, somehting that dangles/hangs (the pompon trim), wet medium (I used Mr. Huey's mists), something translucent (vellum envelope as the matting of the photo, stick pin in the flower on the right lower part), plain cardstock background.

Testimony - my hidden journaling is on a tag that has a string, and it's tucked behind the vellum (translucent) envelope.

דף אוורירי וקיצי (באמצע החורף...) שהכנתי לאתגר המשולב ב-CSI, והשתמשתי בסקיצה של Creaitve Scrappers. מרבית החומרים בהם השתמשתי הם מקיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר, אם כי אלו כבר שאריות ובחלקן - שאריות של שאריות :))). הכפתורים המגניבים הם מזכיה טריה, והם נקראים flair buttons. גם זה קישוט טרנדי, שיש ממנו עכשיו בכל מקום בעולם הסקראפ.

המאטינג של התמונה הוא מעטפת וולום שהכנתי בעצמי, כשאת דוגמת הדוילי עשיתי עם הביג שוט ותבנית חיתוך של דוילי. 

הוספתי כמה השפרצות של Mr. Huey's, קרעי גאזה, עננים שהכנתי מפאנץ' של פרח ותפירה ידנית.

My 10th laout with my Counterfeit Kit! and I thing it's going to be the last one this month, cause I used my kit to the most little pieces. I still have some leftovers, so I just might surprise myself and make onother lo with this kit.

The photo is again of my oldest, this time when he was about 5Y old. Love the happiness on his darling face :))).

דף עשירי (!!) מקיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר. אני חושבת שזה יהיה הדף האחרון שלי לחודש הזה, כי נותרו לי רק שאריות קטנות מהקיט, אבל אולי אפתיע ובכל זאת אכין עוד דף איתן (ועם השלמות).

הסקיצה הפשוטה מצאה חן בעיני והדפים המדוגמים שהיו בקיט שלי ממילא התאימו לאתגר המשולב ב-CSI.

השפרצתי קצת מיסט שחור, ו'לכלכתי' את שולי העיגול בדיו שחור. וגם הפעם השתמשתי ב-flair buttons. הם פשוט תוספת מוצלחת ביותר לקישוט דפים.
