So silly @ 48

This lo is for 2 challenges, both were very challenging for me and took me out of my comfort zone.
The 1st one is the sketch plus color combo challenge at Off the Rails Scrapbooking:

The sketch was lovely to work with, but the color combo was so out of my regular colors to work with! I ended up with a flame on my desk... LOL
The 2nd was from Challenge YOUrself, which asked to scrap myself , right now, at my age. Me?! at my age right now?! oh, my! that is what I call a challenge!
I used a photo that was taken a few months ago, when I was playing with my boys at a birthday party we had for the youngest. it was a game where you had to wear funny clothes, in no time, and I look so ridiculous LOL, hence the title - 'So silly @ 48'.
It's a Prima lo, inspired by a workshop by Stacey Young at Pop&Colours #3. 
Prima products I used:
Papers: script pad, Doodle-Deux collection ('Button-up'; Alpha-Bytes'), welcome to Paris collection ('Something about her'), Divine collection ('En L' air").
Other - alphas, wood buttons, flower center, junkyards findings, word sticker, stamps, paper clip and of course - flowers.
I also used Kaisercrafts rub-on,  gesso, modeling paste with masks and lots of mists here - Ayeeda mists from 13arts (chalk yellow amber), Tattered Angels glimmer mist (wheat beer), Mr. Huey's (first kiss, buttercup, gold, sherbet, warm calico, cameo, real red). the chipboards sign and numbers were coverd with gesso and then with a few coats of black UTEE, and I stamped the numbers with a script stamp. I added some cheeseclothe here and there.

A layout I made for the March challenge at Once Upon A...Sketch, with this awesome sketch:

The journaling criteria for this challenge is a wonderful quote:

The photo is of my boys, building sand castle, on a perfect day at the beach about 2 years ago. I used a Kaisercraft's rub-on for the saying, and nearby wrote about life's little pleasures. Sometimes we just need to remember to simply enjoy these little moments in life.

My inspiration for the palette was the color challenge at ScrapFriends:

I used Prima pp, stamps, flowers, chalk ink and sugar dots. the background was created using layers upon layers of gesso, mists, distress stain, stamping and masking. I really love how it turned out. I also used Creative Ebmellishments' flourish chipboard, painted roughly with gesso, and doilies cut with Cheery Lynn' die. The frame was made with Nestabilities' die.

יש  משהו בשילוב הצבעים של גווני כחול עם גווני חום, ונגיעות של לבן וקרם, שפשוט כובש אותי פעם אחר פעם. אולי כי הוא שילוב הצבעים הטבעי של חוף הים. אז ברור שלא יכולתי להתעלם מאתגר הצבעים הזה, ושילבתי אותו עם אתגר הסקיצה והג'ורנלינג של OUAS. אנחנו חיים רק פעם אחת, ואם נחיה את חיינו כדבעי, מספיקה גם פעם אחת. התמונה הזו, של הבנים בונים ארמון בחול, צולמה ביום קסום לפני כשנתיים. סתם יום של חופשה בחוף הים, עם הנאות קטנות של החיים.

הפעם 'התעצלתי' ולא הכנתי פרחים בעצמי, אלא השתמשתי בפרחים המוכנים של פרימה. גם הדפים המדוגמים הם של פרימה. הרקע הורכב מהרבה שכבות של ג'סו, מיסטים, distress stain, החתמות ומסיכה. הסלסולים הם למעשה צ'יפבורד אחד שנחתך לשניים, וצבעתי אותו צביעה לא אחידה בג'סו, כך שניתן עדיין לראות את הצבע החום המקורי של הצ'יפבורד.  ה'קרעים' עם השוליים המפונצ'צ'ים, מוסיפים למראה הוינטאג'י.

A Circle of Love - Nov 1st at Stuck?!

This is my 1st layout as a DT member at Stuck?!, with this fab sketch by Laura:

I had so much fun working with this sktech. I used two photos of my sons at the seaside, on 2012 summer. I went on a monochromatic design, with a touch of teal with Lindys Stamp Gang starburst. I alos did some heat embossing and used rub-ons and a twine.

דף ראשון שהכנתי כחלק מצוות המעצבות ב-!?Stuck. השתמשתי בשתי תמונות של הילדודס נהנים בחוף הים בקיץ 2012. העיצוב הפעם הוא כמעט לחלוטין מונוכרומטי, עם נגיעה של כחול במיסט. עשיתי גם אמבוסינג עם חותמת רקע נפלאה ואבקת אמבוסינג לבנה.

נתתי גם הצצה קטנטנה לדף שאותו אעלה מחר, עם הפתעה קטנה, אז אתן מוזמנות לשוב ולבקר כאן מחר.

Autumn/Fall colors

This is my take on Scraptastic sketchy challenge:

I started making it with the inspiration of Artful Delight #2 challenge, which was tic-tac-toe. It fits two rows (make a lo/include at least one button/travel theme and use your scraps/include at least one button/fall theme).
It also goes for the color inspiration at CR84FN:

The orange frame is a MME leftover from a previous lo I've made and so is the blue vellum. I also used BG dp, two different kraft cs, flower butoons with twine, stickers, a doily, a rub-on and a border punch. I used some glimmer mist too and the journaling block is a Prima chipboard.

המסגרת הכתומה היא שארית דף של MME מפרוייקט קודם. השתמשתי גם בדף מדוגם של BG, מפית תחרה, ראב-און, כפתורים, סטיקרים וקוביית כיתוב צ'יפבורד של פרימה. האותיות הן 'תוצרת הארץ' של רחלי גזית ומסטיקים.

First Grade - lo

סקיצה נקיה ופשוטה שקסמה לי והתאימה מאד לתמונות היום הראשון של צעיר הבנים בכתה א'.

דף הרקע הוא מהקיט 'זרעי קיץ' של צרויה אילן, אבל את הדודלינג המתוק שבצד הדף, של ילדון עם גלגל ים, הסתרתי עם דוילי, שעליה גרדתי מסגרת של ראב-און והוספתי שני סטיקרים של תפו"ע.

הוספתי גם קצת דף מדוגם נוסף מהקיט, עם רקע כחול ואותיות, למרכז הדוילי הגדולה. מתחת תפרתי פסים בזיגזג ובאיקסים.  קצת התזה של גלימר מיסט, ועוד 2 סטיקרים על הבורדר המסולסל. האותיות הן 'תוצרת הארץ' של רחלי גזית ומסטיקים, ועברתי מסביב להן עם עט ג'ל לבן להדגשה.

איזה כיף, הגיע כבר הגשם! מי יתן והשנה הזאת תהיה עם גשמי ברכה.

After I made this lo, I used some leftover scraps to make a card for the Jewish New Year, which is just around the corner. I entered the lo for the Scrapbookers Anonymous challenge, and they have an extra challenge each month to make a card from the leftovers of your lo, I just didn't see the Inlinkz there for the cards, so I'm waiting for it to appear...

I followed the white space challenge - day 184 at 365 cards.

Hello my crafty friends! It's Friday again, and it means a new challenge at Frosted Designs. This week's challenge is all about Stripes & Polka Dots.

דף מעוצב שהכנתי כחלק מצוות המעצבות ב-Frosted Designs. האתגר השבוע הוא פסים ונקודות. אתגר קליל ופשוט, עם פרס מאד שווה שאפשר לזכות בו.

שני הפרחים הם שימוש בשאריות עד תום. את הפרח הגדול הכנתי בטכניקה שלמדתי ממש לאחרונה, ואני מאד אוהבת את המראה שלו. הפרח הקטן, עם הג'ורנלינג, הוא שימוש במה שנשאר כשמוציאים חיתוכים מדף שלם, כשהדבקתי ב"חור" שנוצר דף מדוגם וגזרתי מסביב. הוספתי גם קצת אבקת נצנצים מסביב.
האותיות הן של "תוצרת הארץ".
