Happy Dreams - a beach inspired card

Happy Saturday dear crafty friends,
Today I'd like to share with you a beach inspired card, all full with summer vibes, I've made using beautiful Lemoncraft's papers.
I love to add more and more layers to my projects, and this card is no exception:
I had some stamped and heat embossed seashells from a previous project (you can see it HERE), and I used them in this card:
I really love the one that is stamped and heat embossed on a vellum (Lindy's Gang Orange Creamsicle embossing powder)!
The sentiment is also stamped and heat embossed (Lindy's Gang Desert Moon Turquoise).
I used pieces of gauze, a twine and Finnabair's mini art stones, all adhered with Finnabair's soft gel medium:

I would like to enter this card to 2 challenges:

PInk & Gray cards for Altair Arts' Ever & Always II collection

Happy Friday dear crafty friends,

A little late, but better than never, I'm sharing my cards with the beautiful new collection by Altair Arts: 'Ever & Always II'.
It was posted a few days ago on the Altair Art Blog HERE.
As soon as I saw the papers I just fell in love with this collection! Such beautiful colors and designs, so delicate and elengant. Love it!
For my cards I decided to go on the pink & gray colors. I love this combination of colors, as it gives a very elegant look to any project.

Clowns - a mixed media layout for 13@rts Circus challenge

I had so much fun making this mixed media layout for the current challenge at 13@rts, which is Circus.
Here's the fab moodboard:
I knew I would use a photo I took at Madame Tussaud's museum at London, whith the clowns.
To make my layout even more clownish, I turned the patterned paper, so the printed words were upside down :)
I added lots of stitched circles to the already printed ones on the pp, and used lots of mediums to create a fun atmosphere.
Here are some close-ups on the details:

13@rts products I've used:
Alice in Candyland - 'Whatfever U Want', 'Queen of Hearts'
Untill Dawn - 'Days and Nights'
Mediums - Gesso clear, Gesso white, Gel medium
Mists - Pastel Blue, Chalk Blue Light
Color Glow - Ruby, Amber

Follow Your Heart - case file no. 258 at CSI

At CSI blog we have a new case file, with a beach theme inspiration. Here's the inspiration photo:
I made a layout full of sea and nautical treasures, and lots of mixed media.
one of the Runners Up at

I used my counterfeit mini kit for this layout.
To 'solve the case' I went the old school way: used all 5 colors from the scheme, from the evidence I used stripes, beach/nautical elements, animal (the seahorse on the bottom), circles, wet medium, grainy things (embossing powder, texture paste and mini art stones), and shells (real and stampped and heat embossed). In my journaling I documented one of our visits to the Red Sea.
The chipboard title is from Creative Embellishments and it was coverd with white gesso, and then heat embossed with four different embossing powders. I love how it came out.
Here are some close-ups on the details:

some real seashells, with mini artstones

Some wooden ship wheels, along with a compass chipboard, heat embossed with Lindy's ep (Angel Wings Gold):

You can see how the compass simply shines with this ep! I added a sticker with "8", as it was my boy's age at that time.

Along with real seashells, I alos added some stampped seashells over vellum, which I then heat embossed with Lindy's ep (Orange Creamsicle). It got a lovely sandy look:

I also stamped and heat embossed seashells directly on the paper. Adding some dew drops in matching colors, gave a feeling of treasures from under the sea:

To get even more of the seaside look, I added lots of Prima/Finnabair mini art stones:

Using texture paste over a stencil, along with some Blue Fern's stamps, and 7Dots' stamps:

As for the title, after covering it with Finnabair heavy white gesso, I used 4 Lindy's ep! ( C'est la vie Cerise, Twilight Bloue Slate, Midnight Sapphire and Orange Creamsicle):

I stamped this cute seahorse and tucked it between the wavy borders on the bottom:

I also made a 'start to finish' video:

As there's a limit to combining challenges at the MTW blog, I've removed my entry from the other challenges.

Creative Embellishments

I was inspired by the colors of blue, red and white, the way the graphic is splitted between the colors, and ths splatters.

You are a Classic - a card for Scrap The Boys

At almost the last minute, I've managed to make this card for the card challenge at Scrap The Boys, which required stitches.
My stitching is all stamped, with Prima's stitching stamps. I also did some splattering with Lindy's sprays. I really love the messy look of this card, and it's so perfect for the particular man I'll be giving it :).

A feminine birthday card for Altair Art

Today is my turn at Altair Art blog, and I 'm sharing a birthday card, the feminine version to the previous card I've made for the current challenge at Altair Art, which is 'Up to 3 colors'.
You can see my previous card HERE
I went along with the same color scheme - blue, green and kraft.
I fussy cut some elements from one Altair Art paper, from the 'Flower Harmony' collection, called accessories 08:
I layerd the cuts on a doily die cut (Prima's), and added some fussy cut butterflies from the same paper. I also embellished the butterflies with enamel dots and dew drop:

The sentiment (Kaisercraft stamp) was heat embossed with Lindy's Gang embossing poweder (Tannenbaoum Green Gold) and embellished also with enamel dots:

At the seaside - mini kit with Counterfeit Kit Club challenge

Counterfeit Kit Club challenge blog has a fab inspiration for July, with The ScrapRoom's June kits.
This time I didn't want to make a big kit, as I'm afraid I won't be using it...., so I went on a smaller version of a mini kit, knowing I will definitely use it for a layout I'm plannig to make.
I took inspiration from the Doubleshot kit, with the Echo Park papers from 'Good Day Sunshine' collection:
I was inspired by the colors - red, navy blue, sky blue and yellow (I didn't want to add the greens...).
One of my goals is to use scraps and leftovers, as well as some new untouched products. I need to destash...
Having that in mind, I put into my mini kit, along with full sized papers, some leftover papers and stickers. I also opened (finally...) a nevertouched ephemera pack, added some flair buttons, wooden ship wheels, dew drops and washi tapes. I also included some real seashells!
So here's my 'At the seaside' mini kit:
Ephemera and dew drops:

I will be sharing the layout I'm making with this kit in a week or so...
