Oh, The Places You'll go

At the last minute I managed to make a lo for the fab March moodboard challenge at Sassy Scrapper.
Here's the moodboard:
I was so inspired by the colors and the grungy frames and the wooden word!
The photo is of my youngest, about 2 years ago.
I used March challenge  from Creative Embellishments (along with some of their gorgeous chipboards):
I turned the sketch to fit my photo and was inspired by some of the colors from the inspiration photo, as well as the flowers from that photo.
Here are some close-ups on the details:

Bliss - Sketchabilities March 30th reveal

It's reveal day at Sketchabilities, with the gorgeous #112 sketch by Karan:
I used a lot of gesso, mists, distress stains and ink on this page :)). I really enjoyed getting messy. I used the tag I made for my GD spot at CHAC, some Carta Bella's papers, Prima's stamps and Creative Embellihsments' snowflake chipboards.
Here are some close-ups on the details:

I would like to enter it to the'free for all' challenge at Off the Rail Scrapbooking, and for the 'paint/mist' challenge at The crafty Scrapper.
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog. I appreciate every comment  you care to leave me.

Missing You

Edit: this lo won 'Star Witness' at CSI!

This is my take on March sketch at Skissedilla, March moodboard at Scrap Around the World, and case file #115 at CSI.
Usually I don't do girly pages, but the challenges at SATW and at CSI inspired me to go out of my comfort zone of boyish/masculine pages and make a girly one, about me!
Here's the sketch from Skissedilla:
Here's the moodboard at Scrap Aroung The World:
I was inspired by the pink/peach colors of the dress, and the layers of it. I was also inspired by the blooms, so springy :). Another inspiration was the typewriter, which gave me the vintage/retro feeling, as my old photo is.
It also goes for the black/white photo challenge at Scrapy-Wyzwaniowo.
Here's case file #115 at CSI:
The photo is of my Dad and me, way back when I was about 2 year old.
The clues I used to solve the case were:
Scheme - all colors are here.
Evidence - hearts, lace, bird, grid, leaves, flowers, stamps, mixed media background.
Testimony - I used on of the prompt - 'In what good ways you are like you father?' My Dad passed away more than 17 years ago. I still miss him a lot. He was a man who stood up for what he believed in, without fear. Part of mymy jouranling is on the front, and part on the back of the page, and it says: "Mom used to say that I'm so alike  you, having the same character you had. And indeed, just like you, I stand up for what I belive in, going with all the way with my truth, till the end, never giving up. From you I've learnt not to be afraid even facing very powerful people. Although it has been a long time since you passed away, I miss you. I miss you so much. I long to talk with you, tell you what's going on with the kids, with my work. longing to hear your insights, your good advice. I wish I could only once hear you saying to me: 'you're no longer a dummy, you're already a butterfly', or seeing in your eys how much you're proud of me. I still have that big hole in my heart cause you're not here anymore."

Show some sparkle! - GD for 2nd challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge

This is my 2nd project as a GD at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge blog, and this time the challenge is to show us some sparkle, glizt or glam!
Graphic 45 is our sponsor this month. They are known for their fabulous vintage    products and papers. To pay homage to their glamour and style, create a project         that shows off your hoarded sparkly items. Show some glitz! Pump up the glam!           Use the photo collection below for extra inspiration. You need not match the colors or style of the photos, just use them as inspiration - notice the glass, gems, pearls, metal, glitter! What do you hoard that is "sparkly"? and here's an inspiration photo:

Being a GD at CHAC, made me make projects I usally don't make, and that is awesome! I worked on my tag with several mediums, and for the sparkly part, I used glimmer mists, glitter and bling.
Soon you'll be able to see how I used this tag on another project, and here's a sneak peek on it:

Thank you, Gloria, for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to be a GD on your challenge blog. I enjoyed every minitue of it.

Thank you for visiting my blog, and I appreciate every comment you care to leave me.

So Lucky

Edit: 2nd place winner at Berry71Bleu. thank you!
This is my take on some challenges:
Prima - March PPP, with this beautiful palette:
I used many Prima's products - papers, stamps, flowers and leavs, say it in crystals blings, sugar dots, flair buttons, alphas, chipboard and even packages. Some of the flowers on this lo, were made from Prima's papers with Die-namics dies and mists.
Berry71Bleu March challenge, which asked to have green as the dominant color, the word 'lucky' or 'luck', and some lace/doily. I took the 'green' thing a little further, and recycled Prima's packages.
I would also like to enter it to the 'free for all' challenge at Off the Rails Scrapooking.
I woudl like to enter it to the contest at Paper Issues, for the summer theme.

La Défense

CSI joined forces with Archi-Scraps for an inspiring challenge.
Here's the inspiration photo with the case file CC-1:
The minute I saw this case file, with the inspiration photo, I knew right away I will scrap with a photo from La Défense, on my last day at Paris, back on 1997. I took many photos there, but the best for this challenge was with this colorful stripes building, showing through the tree, with the blue sky above.
I used March sketch from Boys Rule, designed by Laura Whitaker:
My clues to solve the case were:
Scheme - all colors are here.
Evidence - stripes, decorative border, trees, architectural accents (the Eiffel Tower stamp), clouds (on the flair button), zig-zag.
Testimony - my jouranling is about the contrast between the architecture of the 'old' Paris, and the one on La Défense. I also used the IW see (sight) and walk: "After walking days in the streets of classic Paris, visiting old buildings with architecture from old centuries, I finally came, on my last day at Paris, to La Défense. The sight of the skyscrapers, with the futuristic architecture was an amazing sight. A perfect ending of a gorgeous tour in this city."

Prankster

This is my take on case file #114 at CSI, with the fab sketch designed by Em Stafrace (love Em's sketches!). Here's the case file:
This is how I solved the case:
Sketch - checked.
Scheme - all colors are there.
Evidence - numbers, loopy border, rub-ons, circles.
Testimony - I was inspired both by the theme of the photo inspiration and the inspiration word 'trouble'. My youngest is such a prnkster...can't you just say it by the look on his face?  being a SPD & ADHD child, he is on a high level of adrenalin, most of the time. All the saying on this lo are rub-ons about this theme. On the tag, behind the photo, I wrote: "Me: What trouble did you get into again? You: I don't know, Mom, I didn't look for troubles, they just seem to be looking for me." And I say that I can totally relate to the big saying on this lo - "If you have to obey all the rules, you miss all the fun"... well, you know what they say - 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree'... :))).
I used Kaisercrafts pp for the V shape and some of their rub-ons for the saying. for the matting of the photo and the banners I used Webster Pages, LillyBee Design and Simple Stories. the redish doilies are fussy cutting of My Mind's Eye pp. On the background I used Studio Calico circle mask with gesso, and then lots of mists. I also used Stampers Anonymous' circles stamp and Prima's stitches stamps. the arrows are Bella Blvd stickers and the stars were punched from scraps. the flourish is a chipboard from Creative Embellishments, and I painted it with gesso, distress stain and heat embossed with crackle embossing powder, and then with some perfect pearls touches.
I would like to enter this lo also for the current challenge at Scrap Africa, which asked for stars.
Here are some close-ups on the details:
