Born by the sea - lo

This lo won a Ginger Gem at Gingersnap Creations
for their misting challenge. Thank you!

Here's my take on the sketch from Sketchy Thursdays, for the May GD:

The photo is of me, about 20 years ago.... sitting on a rock by the sea in my old hometown, Haifa.
Can you tell I'm homesick?....I am. I miss watching the sea from my window, stormy or quite. And so the title is about one who was born by the sea, and it an Israeli song. I also wrote some of the lines on the journaling.

Here're some close-ups:
The tearing, distressing and stamping:

The lace punch, the doily and the lace and the misting and acrylic splash:

The handmade flower - the white, which I've made out of some pieace of a curtain:

And it also goes for the following challenges:
vintage - truly scrumptious
flowers - craft
mists - gingersnap

Thanks for stopping by!

It's certainly hard being homesick for those places from our past ... but isn't it wonderful that we can hold the memories in our heart ... you captured your memories so beautifully in this design ... love the misting and splashing ... so glad you got Misty with us at Gingersnap Creations.
