He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother - lo and a sneak peak

When I saw the sketch challenge at Design Dollies and then the elements & color challenges there, I knew right away what photo I wish to scrap for all 3 challenges. Yep, I went all the way for the trifecta!!!
The photo, with my boys at the pool, was taken almost 6 months ago, on our last vacation. The boys were having so much fun at the pool, and the eldest lifted the youngest over and over again. Naturally, it was easy for him to do so in the water. When I saw the photo, I just knew that one day I'll scrap it with the title: "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother", and now I got to do it. It's one of my fav songs, and I feel the lyrics are so meaningful. Why not enjoy it, while you are visiting me? Here it is..... I made the lo listening to the song...

Here is the sketch thd lovely Dollies gave:

And this is the color pallet they gave:

The Dollies also asked for something that represent cold with a twist to put something  glittery. I used glimer mist for the circle masking, stickles to highlight the circle's line and glittery rub-ons letter. Only I got it a little messy with the letters and had to correct it with some stickles. Here's a close-up:

Well, it's the best I could do... and I guess you can still understand what's written...

And I'm entering this lo also for the following challenges:
double up - craft your passion (two kids, two flowers)
weather (mine is summer...) - stampin' sisters in christ
glitter - flourishes; crafts and me
color - sew many challenges
diy - if the shoe fits (I've made the banner myself)
something in 3's - little red wagon (I used three different types of alphabets- the round sitckers, the rectangle ones and the glittery rub-ons)

Now, did I hear vintage? No? well, maybe this sneak peak will make you think vintage...:

I'd bet you wish to see the whole page.... well, you'll have to wait till next Tuesday, then I'll show you my new  DT's lo for Frosted Designs... Meanwhile, there still time to play with Debbie's sketch at Frosted Designs, and with the sketches at Scrap Our Stash. Come and join me!

Thanks for stopping by and have a very lovely weekend!

He Ain't Heavy, He's My brother,

Frosted Designs.
