Oh, Paris! lo

edit: I've won Top 3 for this lo at #4 Sketches in Thyme!
Thank you so much, Thyme's gal's!

Another multi-layers lo... I really liked the sketch over sketches in thyme. I loved the way those layers are thrown on the page, like in no particular order. I loved the unstraight lines, kind of 'wild' look.
The photos were taken 13 years ago, on my first tour to Paris. It was amazing! This particular point of view, over Art's bridge towards Pont Neuf bridge, is one of my fav place in Paris.

To show the date, I used some playing cards - 7/8/1997. It was the middle of summer, but yet it was a very cloudy grey day.

Look at this semi envelope with the doily. I wanted to put inside a page with some journaling about the tour, but then again, the page was already with so many layers, so I didn't want to add anything further. But still I love that envi!
I used some chocolate brads on the photos and the dp, and  a key shape brad from Tesa's RAK ond the doily. Alsoe I did some faux stitching over the dps.

The "Paris" sentiment and the "Tour Eiffel" image are both stamps I got from my friend Tesa. The sentiment was stampped over a cream paper that I adhered over a cloth tag.

The blue/teal  flowers are homemade out of a dispaensable table cloth. I used a little wooden frame around the "paris" sticker, which I layed over a white feather.

I enjoyed making this lo. It remineded me of the good time I had at Paris. At that tour I had all the time in mind the song of Marianne Faithful "The ballad of Lucy Jurdan" . Engoy...

The challenges I'm entering this lo are:
sketch - #4 sketches in thyme
color combo - blue/turquoise & brown - #12 craft your passion; cream/chocolate/turquoise - #99 color throwdown
double - just scraps#26 stampin' royalty (mine: two photos, two blue flowers, two Tour Eiffel images)

distressing - #87 one stop craft; #39 crafty catz

shabby look - stamping vacation (it's not a card, but I hope it still counts...)
my favorite things - #26 pile it on (mine is Paris, first of all... I just love this city. then my fav is lace/doily & selfmade flowers).

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy independence day to all USA citizens.

Do so happy when you look in to my blog. I hope that you continue to visit me. I've looked at many of your beautiful LO and card. Tesa had hitchhiked from you on the LO when I (her mom) was small and both you and her were so nice.
