Only Solid Cardstock - Thankful

A CAS card, using scraps of solid cardstock, the same colors I used my previous card.

I simply adhered thin stripes of solid cardstocks to a white one, I cut a piece and then run the 'new paper' throw my Big Shot with a piercing die.

From the pierced one, I die cut the feathers and the flower frame. From the other piece I just cut two stipes, and matted them with white cardstock.

I punched a burst flower, adhered it to the center of the flower frame, and added two tiny cardstock dots.

The sentiment was die cut twice from a golden cardstock, and I embellished with 3 tiny cardstock dots.

I really love the outcome, and the fact that a CAS card can also be very colorful and even vibrant.

Only Solid Cardstock card - CTD meets FMS

Today I continiue with the 'Only Solid Cardstock' trend, and here's my CAS card.

I used Freshly Made Sketch #557 by Judy:

Only I rotated it to the side, instead of a landscape wide strip, I made it a vertical one. For the element on the main strip, the 'square', I used flowers and leaves. I also added a thin golden strip on each side of the main strip.

For the colors, I followed the beautiful color combo from The Color Throwdown #714, chosen by Amy, who asked to use navy blue, mustrad and brown:

The flowers were made with dies and punches, in the challenge color combo.

My card basis is not white, but light gray. I think it's better with these colors. What do you think?

I didn't add a sentiment, as I still need to decide for what occasion I will give it, so I left it to be added later.

This card also goes for the inspiration challenge at The Card Concept #181, with this beautiful Autumn inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the dramatic scene and colors to make my clean and layered card.

Which brings me to the last, but not least, challenge - Addicted to CAS #231,  where Nancy asked for layers:

Only Solid Cardstock / White on White - Let it Snow

I'm still playing with making my cards using only solid cardstocks.

I had an idea in my head of a snowy scene, so I used only white cardstock, so it's also a 'white on white' kind of card.

I have a conffession - I don't like to make multi layers scenery cards. I never liked, and I will probably won't make much more cards of this kind.

Having said that, I do like how this card came out LOL.

Not only the circular scene is in layers, also the sentiment was die cut several times to give it dimention and was adhered to the panel using foam tape.

Only solid cardstock masculine birthday card

Playing again with only solid card, I came up with this graphic masculine card.

I took inspiration from Lisa A with her beautiful cards (you can see them HERE)

I don't have the die Lisa used, so I just cut squares in multipule sized, using my trimmer.

Lisa's card was my jump start, but I made it my own, as I added some layered squares on top of the other squares. I think the added squatres give more interest to this card, but still keep the CAS design.

I used solid cs in blue colors (though the darker one looks black on the photo, but trust me - it's dark blue).

Autumn leaves card - only solid cardstocks

A Top Cup

This card was made using only solid cardstocks.

I used SSS Outline Clustered Leaves die with 4 cs in brown, grayish blue, orange and white.

I adhered the brown ounline die cut to a pale gray cs, and filled the empty leaves spaces with die cut leaves in the other colors, adding a few around.

For the sentimen, Mazzal Tov, I die cut it twice - in blue and in orange. I took the blue one, and filled in the gaps with the orange letters, and also added two white leaves on both sides.

The panel was adhered to a black basis and my cars was done.

I'm entering it to the following challenges:

I actually managed to use all 5 colors from the scheme!

A notebook folder in blue and green

A good friend got a promotion and a new position at work, so I made her a notebook folder, using my September counterfeit kit.

On this one, I went for the colors of blue and green, with a little touch of yellow.

I just love this denim blue pp!

Measurments are 8.75" X 6.5" X 1".

On the right side there is an envelope style pocket.

On the right panel I made some stacked pockets for notes etc. Inside the pocket she can save bigger papers.

I placed a 3 subjects notebook in a pocket on the left side. When she finish the big notebook, she would be able to replace it with another.

As the spine is soft, without chipboard, it can be folded, which makes it much more convenient while writing.

A flowery Good Luck card

Today's card was inspired by the beautiful sketch at Freshly Made Sketches:

For my project I used scraps from my September Counterfeit Kit, after using it for 3 other projects I made earlier, with dies and stamps.

The dp is from 'New Spring' collection, made by a local designer.

The sentiment says, in Hebrew: Good Luck, using a die set by Tanya Sol, also a local designer. The card was made for a friend who got a promotion at work and starting a new position there.

I will give her the card along with a handmade folder I made, which I will share later.
