Nantes December 2018 - 13@rts & Sketches In Thyme

At the last day of this year, I'm sharing a layout I've made for two challenges.

One is the inspiration challenge at 13@rts blog:

I was inspired by the main image - the plaid pattern, the christmas trees, the wood floor, and the theme.
I've used 13@rts' stitches and word stickers, as well as their white ink.

The 2nd challenge is a sketch challenge from Sketches In Thyme, sketch no. 401 (I rotated the sketch on the side):

חנוכה דיילי - לוח השראה לבניית קיט

(To all my English speaking friends, this is an inspiration post for a local FB group in Israel, so it will all be in Hebrew, but you are mostly welcome to look at the photos of the moodboard and the kit I've gathered based on this moodboard)

בקבוצת הפייסבוק 'הבית ליוצרות בנייר' העליתי פוסט של השראה לבניית קיט. באווירת December Daily של הנוצרים, המתחיל מ-1 בדצמבר ונמשך עד כריסמס, אנחנו עושות 'חנוכה דיילי', קצר יותר (מה לעשות, נס החנוכה נמשך רק 8 ימים...), אבל לא פחות מושקע ונוצץ.

הדפים בקיט:

קיט טוב בנוי מקארדסטוקים חלקים, ניירות מדוגמים, קישוטונים (פרחים, סרטים, כפתורים, צ'יפבורדים, חיתוכי נייר וכיוצ"ב). לעיתים גם מצרפים חותמות ודיו.
כדי ליצור קיט הרמוני, רצוי שהצבעים והדוגמאות ישתלבו אחד עם השני. אפשר להשיג זאת בכמה דרכים שונות אחת מהשניה - שילוב של צבעים מאותה משפחה, שילוב של צבעים משלימים בגלגל הצבעים, שילוב של דוגמאות רגועות עם דוגמאות רועשות, דוגמאות גיאומטריות (פסים ונקודות הם תוספת קלאסית לקיט), וכיוצ"ב.

לקחתי 6 קארדסטוקים חלקים, בצבעים נייטרליים: שחור שימר, לבן, זהב, אפור בהיר, קראפט ואפור כהה.
בקיט שלי יש 5 דפים מדוגמים שלמים, חלקם עם פויל זהוב (עץ אדום, עץ צהוב, משבצות חום/כתום, נקודות כחול/זהב ונקודות קראפט/זהב). אגב, ברוח ההשראה של אש קטנה בפוסט הזה, השתמשתי גם בדפים מדוגמים שבמקור חלק מקיט שהנושא שלו הוא ים (עץ אדום ועץ צהוב).

מבחינה של מוטיבים שלקחתי מלוח ההשראה: עלים, דוגמת משבצות, לוח עץ (ספסלי העץ, שולחן העץ מתחת לחנוכיה ובתמונה השניה משמאל בשורה התחתונה...), נצנוצים חמים על רקע כהה (בחרתי כמה דפי נקודות), הזהב והכסף, עיגולים (תמונת הפאי), פרחים.

בקישוטים התמקדתי בפרחים ועלים, משבצות, זהב וכסף. לא הוספתי לקיט שלי חותמות, צ'פבורדים לעיצוב, דיו וחותכנים - כל אלו ממילא בשימוש שוטף תוך כדי עבודה על פרוייקט ספציפי.

מקווה שהצלחתי לעורר בכן השראה ליצירת קיט  משלכן. אתן יותר ממוזמנות לשתף את הקיטים שלכן בפוסט הרלוונטי בפייסבוק.
ואז - פשוט ליצור עם הקיט יצירות יפהפיות. זו כל המטרה.

It's the most wonderful time of the year - CSI case file no. 303

I can't believe it's already December! how time flies when having fun...

It's time for a new case file at CSI and it has a lovely inspiration photo:

For my layout I used one of the many photos I took last on December 2018, on my vacation in Nantes. The city was all decorated for Christmas and the Christmas markets were fabulous!

I used all 5 colors. For the evidence I used: polka dots, stripes, woodgrain, ornaments, trees, sequins, flowers, felt, I made the trees using a scalloped punch and used a sticker phrase. I documented something about Christmas and wrote 4 important things about that vacation.

Piles of Smiles - Sketches in Thyme

Another layout done with my November Counterfeit kit, and it's the last layout with this kit. I really used my kit a lot this month, and I'm so happy about it!

And a minute before Autumn is leaving us, and Winter is coming, I've made a fall layout.

I used sketch #398 from Sketches In Thyme:

My photos were too large for 3 in one layout, so I used only two, and my title is rather small, comparing to the title in the sketch, but that's how it goes with sketches - a starting point....

It also my 2nd entry for the challenge at Creative Embellishments, with this beautiful moodboard:

For the twist of using wood, I used both wood veneers and wood feathers (these are CE ones). This time I took inspiration from the left upper photo, with the subtle tones.

The first card goes for 3 challenges:

 Retro Rubber Challenge - tic tac toe.

I used the bottom row - birthday, masculine, twine. The stains stamps are about 4 years old (at least that's when I bought it), and the sentiment stamp is even older (I think I have it for 5-6 years).

Great Things - a CAS card

A card I've made using my November counterfeit kit fot two challenges:

CAS(E) This Sketch #349:

I flipped the sketch on the side.

More Than Words mini challenge, which asked for the word 'Great'.

The sentiment was stamped with clear embossing on a vellum and I embossed it with Lindy's Gilded Burgundy Brass ep. Then nI wrapped the vellum over a white cs and matted it with a kraft cs.

I love how the sentiment shine:

This is a new page in my art journal notebook, for two challenges.

The 1st - More Than Words challenge - success plus a key:

When I look back, I realize that the most successful things in my life were things I dreamt about, and then made them happen. So for me 'if you can dream it, you can do it' is the key to success. I also adhered a small key next to the message, to make it stand as my say.
