Happy New Year card

As the Jewish new year is just around the corner (one week!), I've made a small and cute card, using my August counterfeit kit.
The papers I've had in my kit, along with the embellishments screamed 'Autumn', although it was a summer kit :).
I would like to enter this card to the following challenges:

Good Luck cards for Scrap The Boys challenge

I loved the card Challenge at Scrap The Boys, which was Go Geo:
My boys are going back to school, and I've made each one of them a 'Good Luck' card.
I used my August counterfeit kit for these cards, mostly with scraps from the layout I made.

Go Witld! - Scrap The Boys August challenge

International winner

This is a layout I've made for the August challenge at Scrap The Boys challenge blog, with their awesome theme "Stay Wild":
From the first moment I saw the challenge I knew what photo I want to scrap - of my youngest, about 4 years ago. This boy is really a free spirit one, and the saying 'Go Wild' is so perfect for him LOL!
I've used my August Counterfeit Kit for this layout, and I also went wild, using many layers and almost all of the DIY embellishment I had in my kit.

An altered appointment calendar with a box - for Altair Art

Happy Friday to you all!
Today it's my turn on Altair Art blog, and I'm sharing with you an altered appointment calendar I've made for a good friend of mine, and I also made a box for it.
Usually, I don't do 'clean & simple' style, but this time I wanted to make something different and also I knew my friend would take this calendar with her everywhere in her bag, so I made it without 3D embellieshments.
I rapped it with white paper and then added layers of beautiful Altair Art papers, a doily and a heart die cut (using beautiful dies and Altair Art papers). I only added a few enamel dots to highlight and my friend's name and the year (Jewish year).

With the box, I also kept it clean & simple. I made the box from a heavy weight white cardstock, and decorated it with Altair Art paper, again a doily and a sentiment die cut, a few enamal dots, a fussy cut of a butterfly, and a satin ribbon.
Altair Art papers that I've used:
It's Friday and it means the weekend is here!! I'm planning to rest, read a lot, watch tv and scrap. What are your plans for the weekend? how about joining our challenge 'Celebrate'? you can find it HERE.
Whatever your plans for the weekend are, have a wonderful time.

Time not wasted - art journal

Happy Sunday to you all,
I'm sharing an art journal I've made, inspired by the July challenge at Mixed Media Place, with this awesome moodboard:
I was inspired by the old envelopes, with the vintage atmosphere. I was also drawn to the brown shades and the blue colors, so these are the main colors in my art journal.
The envelopes made me think about time, old time, past etc., and how important it is not to waste time blaming ourselved for mistakes we make, rather learn the lesson and keep on mooving.
I love this quote by August Rodin: "Nothing is a waste of time, if you use the experience wisely", and The Thinker photo was the natural choise.
I used some 7 Dots papers from several collection to mat the photo and also the clock (which is a part of the bigger die cut clock behind the photo).

I also did a lot of stamping on the background (7 Dots Studio stamps, TH stamps and Kaisercraft stamps).
The clock die cut was painted with Finnabair metalic paint, and when dried, I covered it partly with two Lindy's Gang embossing powders.

The street lamps were colored by Ranger's archival gray ink, heat embossed with Lindy's Midnight Sapphire blue embossing powder, and finally I rubbed some Finnabair patina effect paste.
To give some more texture to the background, I also used washi tape and Finnabair modeling paste over TH stencil, and added microbeads here and there.
Lindy's sprays were also added (Buccaneer Bay  Blue

Vintage and Tainted Love Teal Shimmer spray).
I adhered the quote, and added splatters with white gesso and Lindy's Bombshel Black Shimmer spray, and my art journal is done.

This is a layout I've made for the current challenge at White With 1 challenge blog, which is white with sunny yellow:
I also used the suggested sketch  from Page Map, as a free inspiration, only I flipped it to fit my photo:

I really love how bright and cheerful my layout came out.

A wedding card for Altair Art

Happy Sunday to you all!
Today it's my turn on the Altair Art blog, and I'm sharing with you a wedding card I've made, using the gorgeous "Beautiful Moments" papers by Altair Art. These papers are just perfect for any wedding project (and to many more others).

This card is in our challenge theme of 'Celebrate':
I've used the 6x6 pad with 3 different papers, all matted with white cardstock:
I did some fussy cut of the flowers elements and the rings from these papers:

I've also made a pocket inside, to hold a gift card or money.
Here're some close-ups:
