Chocolate Six - for CSI case file no. 241

 Hello everyone :),
Sharing my take on case file no. 241 at CSI:
This is how I've solved the case:
Sketch - checked.
Scheme - I've used all 5 colors. The background pp is LemonCraft 'Heart Painted 2', and all the other pp are Scrapberry's 'Yummy' collection. The colors of this collection were just perfect for this challenge, and I only added a brown cs as matting.
Evidence - hearts, stars, chevron arrows, vellum (underneath the title), and woodgrain pp.
Testimony - I've added stars to my journaling spot, which is the hidden tag.  I documented an event of when my eldest arranged a fun game for his brother's birthday. It was an assignment he got as part of his Bar Mitzva year, and we all had such laughs and fun. On the back side of the tag, I wrote the game's rules.
Here are some close-ups on the details:

Small gifts box

I finally got the chance to meet a good friend of mine, after a long period that we only spoke on the phone, do I had to give her a little something from me :).
I've made her a small box with some scrappy embellishments. To make the box I've used my Counterfeit Kit (okay, I cheated a little...I also used pp from last month's kit.. LOL).
The size of the box is 5.5 x 3 x 2. The basis is from a heavy weight white cs and the papers are from the Posh collection by Simple Stories.
Here are some more photos:

I'm entering it to the 'more than one score' at Scor-Pal - special gift packaging . The whole box is made out of one cs, scored to make the folds and the lid. I also used score tape to adhere the side panels.
And here's a link to my tutorial how to make such a gift box:
I hope you'll find this tutorial useful. If you use it, please give me some credit.

All that scraps - DIY embellishments

I just love making my own embellishments, and when I'm making them using paper scraps, I'm full of delight.
So I set with some Echo Park paper scraps, grabbed my dies and punches and made these embellies.

And here's a little sneak peek to a nice project I've made, yet not to be revealed:
Can you guess what it is? all I can say ATM is that it's kind of a small scrappy goodie bag....
Oh, and another thing - I've used my Counterfeit kit :).

Please come back in a day or two, for the reveal of 'the good stuff....

Busy Being Happy - Lindy's Gang and 7 Dots Studio

Hello to you, dear friends. I would like to share with you my latest layout.
I was so inspired by the challenge at 7 Dots Studio, with their theme 'Sunrise/ Sunset':
So I took a photo of my youngest, taken a few years ago, on one of our beach days. It was summer and we spent the whole afternoon till the sun went down. I just love the colors of the sunset and how they reflect in the water.
I tried to mimic the colors with different mediums, also to match November challenge at Lindy's Gang:
These are the Lindy's products that I've used:
ep - Byzantine Bronze, King Midas Gold, Midnight Sapphire.
I also used lots of 7 Dots Studio products:
pp - Drive all night/ Dreamer collection; Torn/ Writer's Block collection.
stamp & stickers - Thoughts Keeper.
tags - Writer's Block.
The chipboard is from Creative Embellishments, and this lo is also for their November challenge, with this beautiful moodboard:
I was inspired by the warm autumn colors, with the touch of blue and by the leaves. I covered the chipboard with Lindy's ep King Midas Gold and heat embossed it. Just love the rich gold color it turned out.
Other products I used:
Prima - art basics - clear gesso, texture paste; art alchemy - acrylic paint Dragon's Eye; metallique wax vintage gold.
TH - mini stencil set 30; distress ink Faded Jeans.
metal die - Die-Namites Large Ivy.
Ranger's archival ink coffee.
misc.- micro beads, sequins, gauze, resin, metal gears and 'Dream' label.
I would also like to enter this lo the the 'metal embellishment' challenge at Altairart:

Dare to Dream - Stuck?! Sketches Nov. 15th reveal (Blue Fern Studios & Lindy's Stamp Gang)

I love working with Blue Fern Studio papers, not only they're so beautiful, but they're heavy weight. As I was in a girly girl mood, I decided to work with BFS products and some beautiful Lindy's Gang mists to make my DT layout for Nov. 15 reveal at Stuck?! Sketches. I really love the shabby chic look of my layout.
Here's the sketch to work with, made by Laura Whitaker:
I've started with covering the  BFS paper (Love Story/ The Grand Ball) with clear gesso, then I worked with a modeling paste over TCW stencil. After it was dry, I stamped with some BFS stamps (Halftone, Dreamy), and IBS and Maya Road stamp, using Ranger's black archival ink.
Now was the time for some misting... I used Lindy's Stamp Gang products: Cotton Candy Pink, Delphinium Turquoise and Pop Rock Purple.
Matting the photo with BFS papers (Blush/ Devoted; Sanctuary/ Calling Cards), ading a stamped title (BFS /Dreamy), and some sentiments from TH chit chat, matted on a BFS paper (Timeless/ Song).
Decorating with Cheery Lynn Design die (English Tea Party), Prima flowers, metal rose, lace from my stash and microbeads). Topping all with some deluted white gesso, and that's it - finished!
Here are some close-ups:

I would like to enter this layout to the following challenges:
Moodboard at Off the Railsscrapbooking - I was inspired by the feminine feeling and the colors of the moodboard.
The vintage and shabby chic mood board at Mixed Media Place:
I was inspired by the pastel colors and the shabby chic look, as well as the colors, of the shabby chic moodboard.
Challenge YOURself asked for their challenge to use sprays/inks and to include a photo of ourselves:
I used lots of sprays and inks here and this is me in the photo :).
Country View Challenges, which asked to use stencils. I used TCW stencil on the background.

Adventure - Kraft Plus Challenge

Hello dear friends! Today I want to share with you a lo I've made for November's challenge at Kraft Plus. The challenge was to 'Think Big'.
For my layout I've used my November Counterfeit Kit. Actually, I've used only one pp from the kit, the 'Border Stripes' from Echo Park 'Go, See, Explore' collection. The BIG title is one of the border stripes and the paper underneath my photos is the other side of the same paper.
For me, using multi-photos is a BIG thing. I hardly use more than 2 photos, and usually I use only one. This time I've used 4 photos, so showcase the movement of the scene.
I also used BIG amount of embellishments, I think I used more than half of the embellishment in my kit. I'm very proud of myself for that! some of the embellishments are handmade by me (the cork circles, the blue label, the two-colors hearts and the enamel dots). Using my stash means I will HAVE to buy some more LOL.
Here're some close-ups on the details:

And Here's a little sneak peek to a lo I will be posting in a cupple of days:

Warm and Cosy - November Counterfeit Kit

This month at Counterfeit Kit Challenge they have 'Emerson' by Citrus Twist to counterfeit.
I have to admit - I had no inspiration from the kit. Luckily, they also have a FB page, and the lovely ladies over there just helped me with ideas.
It's funny, but my starting point was the cork embellishments, and I remembered that I have a long forgotten cork sheet, so I was very happy to finally use it. I cut some circles with my BigShot, and stamped with archival black ink:
Okay, that's nice for a start, but usually my inspiration drives from the colors. So I set and wrote down the colors, patterns and type of embellishments, to help me.
My list was:
Colors: gray (dark and light), yeallow, light blue, peach/ coral/ light pink, light orange.
Patterns: chevrons, triangles, hearts.
Embellishments: wood veneer, cork, heart in two colors, words stickers, labels, sticky dots/ eyelets.
Bingo! now I was able to sort through my stash. I and finally came out with my 'Warm and Cosy' kit.
Here's my kit:

papers: My Mind's Eye (Find your wings and fly/ Sky's the limit); Simple Stories (Posh/ I laugh lots, Dream big); Echo Park (Go, see, explore/ border stripes, Dots&stripes/ Pineapple), Fancy Pants (Park bench/ Blanket).
embellishments: handmade (cork circles, labels, double color hearts, enamel dots); Fancy Pants (lime envelope, puffy stickers, cork arrows); StudioForteen40 (flair buttons); Creative Embellishments (diamond chipboards); Yael Yaniv (letter stickers); Tim Holtz (Idea-ology word stickers).
This kit is certainly out of my comfort zone and I hope it will inspire me this month. Time will tell..... LOL
Thank you for stopping by. Your comments are much appreciated.
