Little Red Riding Hood - lo כיפה אדומה

It's Friday again, and it's time for a new challenge at Frosted Designs, and at Simply create!

The challenge at Frosted Designs is Monochromatic (and we have a sponsor  and the challenge at Simply create is "Give your heart away"!

At Frosted Designs we're also having a sponsor for this week's challenge - Craft Your Passion, and I used one of Lauretta's digital stamps - Little Red Riding Hood, which was perfect for my own photos from age 4 or 5, dressed as Little Red Riding Hood!! :))

And since I scrapped those photos, it was easy to make the lo monochromatic - all in red and redish shades and with some neutrals (white and grey, and I'll get to that GREY part... ).

I used #39 sketch from sketchabilities, but I've made it my own by turning it into a multi-photos lo:

Once again I made a vintage multi-layers layout, with lots of embellishments - lace, ribbons, heart brads, felt heart, and flowers.

I've done this lo also for the challenge my bloggy friend, Tesa, gave me - use grey, use lace/ribbons, use at least 3 photos. Well, I must say I was not too pleased with the grey part, but I did playes by Tesa's rules - the cs is grey and there're also some grey shades on the crumpled dp.

שוב במראה הוינטאג'י, השאבי-שיק, עם הרבה שכבות והרבה קישוטים. בדף הזה השתמשתי בתחרה, סרט נקודות, פרחים שונים, סיכות מתפצלות ולבד. וכמובן - הרבה יישון של הדפים. האותיות הן של "תוצרת הארץ" (אמרתי כבר שאני מכורה להן? פשוט מדהימות! גם יפות, גם נוחות, גם במחיר סביר. עכשיו רק נשאר לחכות לעוד גוונים שיצאו, כמו גווני ירוק שונים, כתום, קרם וסגול).

A day at the zoo - another exploding box איזו משפחה - קופסא מתפוצצת נוספת

Another exploding box I've made, this time for a very good friend of mine. It's all about a lovely Saturday we've spent at the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem.

ביום ראשון אני מעלה הדרכה להכנת קופסא  מתפוצצת בבלוג של Frosted Designs. קופסא כזאת היא מתנה נפלאה ליום המשפחה הקרב ובא, בין שתכינו לסבא וסבתא ובין לעצמכן (אני רוצה להכין עוד קופסא כזאת, הפעם בשבילי...).

After making a few CAS layouts, I'm back to the vintage multi-layers style. This style is the best for scrapping photos from Paris, isn't it?

I used sketch #140 from Creative Scrappers:

I used Basic Grey kraft cs, 7 Gypsies dp, Cosmo Cricket dp and K & co. dp. All papers were distressed. Here are some close-ups on the layers and the distressing:

I also used lace, ribbon, crochet flowers that I've made, lots of buttons (20 buttons!), brads and eyelets, paper lace runner, stamps and a charm. Here're the close-ups on the details:

אחרי כמה דפים בסגנון פשוט ונקי, בדף הזה חזרתי לסגנון הוינטאג' מרובה השכבות והקישוטים. התמונה מטיול בפריז שעשיתי ביולי 2009. אני פשוט אוהבת את העיר הזאת. כל הניירות עברו יישון. השתמשתי בפרחי קרושה שסרגתי, המון כפתורים, תחרה, סרט, סיכות מתפצלות וניטים, פנינים, פרפרי בד וצ'ארם (אמרתי כבר שחזרתי להעמיס על הדף, לא? :)...). האותיות של תוצרת הארץ.

My Sleepin Angel - a lo for Sketch Along Tuesday @ Frosted Designs

It's Tuesday again and it's time for a new sketch challenge at Sketch Along Tuesday at  Frosted Designs. This time the sketch was created by me... :). Here it is:

I really liked the CAS look so I kept it very simple - without layers and with very few embellishments. It really draws the whole attention to the photo itself. But don't worry, I've made  a new layout, full of layers and embellishments.... :)) Look at the sneak peek at the bottom of this post, and please come back later to see my new lo.

The photo is of my youngest, when he was about 8 months. He fell asleep on the carpet and he looked so sweet so I took his photo....  All pp are DCWV. The matting for the photo are Canson. Of course I distressed most of the adges. Here's a close-up:

דף אלבום שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה חדש ב- Frosted Designs. הפעם הסקיצה היא מעשה ידי :))).

התמונה היא של הבן הצעיר שלי, כשהיה כבן 8 חודשים. הוא נרדם על השטיח והוא היה כל כך מתוק, שאי אפשר היה שלא לצלם...

שמרתי על המראה הפשוט והנקי של הסקיצה, בלי שכבות ועם מעט מאד קישוטים. אבל אל דאגה, לא נטשתי את הסגנון הרב-שכבתי  ומרובה הקישוטים שאני אוהבת גם כן... בהצצה תוכלו לראות שבדף החדש  חזרתי לסגנון הזה.

הדפים המדוגמים כולם DCWV,  מהחבילה של The Guy. אמרתי כבר שאני מאד אוהבת את הסטאק הזה?

For Grandma with love - an exploding box

It's the first time I made an exploding box, and definitely not the last time! It's such a fun making it. I've made it for my mom, and it's actually a mimi album, with 20 photos. The title on the lid says, in Hebrew: "For grandma, with love".

This is how the box looks when closed:

And this is what it looks once you lift the lid:

All the dp for the box itself are DCWV, and for the lid - Canson. And here are some more close-ups on the sides of the box:

This box goes for the challenge at Joans Gardens, which was:

1. make a box - check.

2. a flourish - embossed, on the top of the lid.

3. a butterfly - there're several of them.

4. make a flower - I sewed the blue flower on the lid from fabric and then topped it with a little Prima flower and a button.

Sweet 16 - a lo for Sketches In Thyme

It's Thursday again and it's Team B's turn at Sketches In Thyme. Here's the fabulous sketch from Sketchabilities we got to work with:

I used a lot of acrylic paing here (there's still time to enter the "Paint" challenge at Frosted Designs!). After I painted with dry brush, I masked some flourishes with homemade mask.

On top I doodled more flourishes  with red stickles. Some punched butterflies (there's still a whole week to enter the "Punch it!" challenge at Simply Create!), fabric butterfly with a gem on top of it, paper flowers, ribbon flowers and a white ribbon with black polka dots.

I used some strip scraps to make those curly strips around the flowers.

דף חדש שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה ב- Sketches In Thyme. השתמשתי כאן בכמה טכניקות: החתמה עם צבע אקרילי, מריחת צבע עם מברשת יבשה ועל המריחה - מסיכה עם דיו דיסטרס (אגב, המסיכה היא homemade, לפי ההדרכה הנהדרת של אילנית). הבלינג גם הוא עשייה עצמית - שירבוט חופשי עם סטיקלס אדום. לסלסולים האדומים שמסביב לפרחים הורודים השתמשתי ברצועות שנשארו לי מחיתוכי קארדסטוקים בעבר.

ההצצה היא לדף חדש נוסף שהכנתי, הפעם לאתגר סקיצה ב- Frosted Designs, שיעלה ביום שלישי הקרוב, אז יש למה לצפות.. :)

Flash Back Friday 7.0 challenge

Amy C., the GD at Flashback Friday challenge, asked for our first glitter card of project.

So here's mine, from October 1st, 2009. I used glittered red butterfly and some gold gliiter on the dp. Looking at this card, I still like it :)....

Blue sea, White mountain - mini album for Frosted Designs

It's Friday again and that means a new challenge at Frosted Designs! This week we ask you to get messy :))) - use PAINT on your creation and show us how messy you can get!

I personally love  to use paint on my  scrapbooking, and if look back on my blog, you'll get to see many layouts that I've done using paint.

I love to use paint for background, as a frame (on the photo itself or/and around it), for stamping (it gives a different look, other than with ink), etc.

For this challenge I made this mini album, with photos of our tour to Rosh Hanikra Grottoes, in northern Israel, right on the Israel-Lebanon borderline. It's a beautiful place, where a white mountain meets a deep blue sea. There are grottoes and caves, with the sea waves hit the rocks. AWESOME!

I used corrugated cardboard and I painted it with white and blue acrylic paints, using dry brush, bubble wrap and mesh, for different looks.

מיני אלבום שהכנתי לאתגר של "צבע" בבלוג של Frosted Designs. אני מאד אוהבת להשתמש בצבע אקרילי בעבודות שלי, ועל דפי אלבום בפרט - לרקע, כמסגרת (על או מסביב לתמונה), להחתמות (זה נותן אפקט אחר לגמרי מאשר החתמה עם דיו) וכו'. את ההשראה (והאומץ...) קיבלתי מפיית מרציפן וממשחק מילים.

התמונות במיני אלבום הזה הן מטיול שעשינו בספטמבר 2010 לראש הנקרה. השילוב של ההר הלבן עם הים הכחול פשוט מהמם, ולכן השתמשתי בצבעי לבן וכחול כדי לצבוע קרטונים גליים, כולם מאריזות סופר, אז גם יש כאן מיחזור :). השתמשתי במברשת יבשה, ניילון פצפצים ורשת כדי לצבוע ולהחתים, ויצאו אפקטים מעניינים ושונים. זה פרוייקט של המון לכלוך, אז רק למי שזה ממש לא מפריע לה :)...

אז זה הזמן להוציא את הצבעים, המברשות וכל אביזר אחר שאפשר לעבוד איתו, לפרוס ניילון ולהתחיל להתלכלך :)))). אני מאד אשמח אם תצטרפו לאתגר הזה.

Elegant kraft card for Simply Create

Tomorrow our new challenge at Simply Create (former Simple Doodles) will start, and this time it's "PUNCH IT!". Easy peasy one.

This is the card I've made for the challenge. I used MS doily lace border punch on two different kraft cs and two  cream cs. The accordion  flower was done also with a punch - a corner punch. The flourish stamp is 7Gypsies.

Me & My 'Friend' - a lo for Sketch Along Tuesday @ Frosted Designs

I've made this lo for the new sketch challenge at Frosted Designs. Here's the sketch, creatied by our own talented Diana:

I twisted the sketch cause I wanted to use those trees, and it seems more reasonable to let them grow from earth than from the sky... LOL

All pp are DCWV ('The Guy' stuck, which I just got)  and the matting is Canson. I also used Fiskars border punch and MS

butterfly punch, rhinestones, a chipboard and a baker's twine. The trees are foam die-cuts that I've covered with Diamond Glaze and glitter and some stickles. The photo is of my youngest son, almost 4 years ago, and the title says, in Hebrew: "Me and Yoram" (that's my son's doll name, and that doll is his fav.

Sweet Dreams - a lo for Scrap Our Stash

This month at Scrap Our Stash, we have a theme challenge - "New", and this is my lo for this challenge.

This photo is of my youngest son, when he was only 2 weeks, at that stage of 'sleep-cry-eat-cry-sleep'. Well, on this photo he was sleeping.. LOL So precious, so sweet!

I used DCWV printed cs and some scraps from Kaisercraft & October Afternoon. The cream strip is also a scrap from a cs I used for a layout I've done a while ago.

I really love the soft colors and the simplicity of this sketch, so the photo gets most of the attention.

The title says, in Hebrew: "Sweet Dreams". I still say it every night to my boys :).

דף אלבום שהכנתי לאתגר החודש ב- Scrap Our Stash - בנושא "חדש". זו תמונה של הבן הצעיר שלי, כשהיה בסה"כ בן שבועיים, עדיין בשלב של 'ישן-בוכה-אוכל-בוכה-ישן'. השתמשתי בקארדסטוק מדוגם של DCWV, ושאריות מדפים מדוגמים של Kaisercraft ו- October Afternoon. הרצועה בצבע קרם גם היא שארית של קארדסטוק שהורדתי ממנו חתיכה כדי שיכנס טוב לשמרדף. האותיות הן של "תוצרת הארץ", וחותמת הג'ורנלינג של Autumn Leaves, שהחתמתי בחלקה עם צבע אקרילי.

השתמשתי בסקיצה מאד נקיה ואני ממש אוהבת את התוצאה - יצא דף נקי, לא עמוס, כשהתמונה מקבלת את מלוא תשומת הלב. אני גם מאד אוהבת את שילוב הצבעים הרכים שיש בדף הזה.

ההצצה היא לדף אלבום חדש שהכנתי, הפעם לאתגר סקיצה החדש ב- Frosted Designs, שיעלה ביום שלישי הקרוב. גם שם הסקיצה פשוטה ונקיה. תקפצו בעוד כיומיים, כשאעלה את הדף החדש, ואולי גם לכן יתחשק להשתמש בסקיצה ולהשתתף באתגר....
