Same challenges, two layouts

I've made two layouts for the case file #25 at CSI and the sketch challenges at Boys Rule. This time at CSI, the challenge had a litle twist - to scraplift one of the DT's layouts.
Here's the case file:

The 1st layout, Winnie the Pooh's home:

The photo is of my eldest peeking out of a burned tree in Dan Reservation. The tree is called "Winnie the Pooh's tree". The tree is hollow so you can crawl inside and climb a little so your head is peeking out of the tree, something like Winnie the Pooh's home. The journaling tells the stroy of this "Winnie the Pooh's home". It's a hidden journaling, pulled by the 'bird' on the right upper corner of the photo.
For this lo, I was inspired by Annette Gearside's layout. The eveidence I used to 'solve' this case are: the small blue shape as an architectual element, clouds, border punch, the woodgrain dp for the background of the page.
The testimony is a little twist by me - my journaling is about something special about a home, but not my home, rather Winnie the Pooh's home.. LOL

I used the June 22nd sketch from Boys Rule, only I used one large photo instead of two:

The 2nd lo, (your love's put me) At the Top of the World, is with a photo from a magical place in Judea Desert, a place with a stream in the deseret, that falls into the Dead Sea. This is one of my fav places in our country:

Again I used a sketch from Boys Rule:

I kind of scraplift Shaunery Wharton's layout. The clues I used: for the eveidence - border punch and wood elements (some of the alphas, the star). For the testimony - I told, in short, the story of past and present of this magical place.

שני דפים, שונים, לאותו אתגר של שילוב צבעים/אלמנטים והשראה ב-CSI. שניהם גם לאתגרי סקיצות באתר אחד - Boys Rule.
הדף הראשון - בתוך שמורת תל דן נמצא לו עץ שרוף, שתוכו חלול. לתוך החלל שבפנים ניתן לזחול, ובטיפוס קטנטן להוציא את הראש החוצה מתוך הגזע השרוף. כל כך מזכיר את ביתו של פו הדב, וכך אכן קרוי העץ בשמורה. בשמורה הזאת טיילנו פעמים רבות, והתמונה היא של בכורי, מציץ מתוך העץ באחד מטיולים אלו. הילדון כל כך רזה, שאין חשש שיתקע בפתח, כפי שארע לפו הדב בסיפור.

הרבה מהאלמנטים הקישוטיים בדף הזה הוכנו על ידי -  המעטפה שמשמשת מאטינג לתמונה, תגית הג'ורנלינג המסולסלת, פרח הקרושה, העננים והדגלון. הרשת הבהירה מחקה את מראה הסבך שבתמונה.
הדף השני - מטיול שלנו ביום העצמאות האחרון לנחל דוד. לאחר שמיצינו את הברכות והמפל התחתון, העפלנו לראש המפל. הטיפוס היה קשה, שביל למיטיבי לכת. אך היה זה דווקא צעיר הבנים שקיפץ כאיילה שלוחה על ההר, בעוד הבכור ואנכי מתנשפים מאחור. הטיפוס המייגע היה שווה כל שניה. המראה הנשקף מראש ההר הוא אחד המרהיבים ביותר בעיני.

Grandma's Love

My 3rd lo with my June Counterfeit Kit. The photo is of my boys with my mom, on my youngest 1st birthday. 

I used  #211 sketch from Creative Scrappers:

All the supplies are from my counterfeit kit. The journaling tag and the washi tape are homemade. I also made most of the banner above the photo, and added a few small stickers banners from my kit. Here are some close-ups on the details:

David's Fall - a lo

Here's my take on #2 mini challenge at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, which is PAINT. One of my fave technique is using acrylic paint for stamping, so I was happy to use it on this lo.

The photos are from a trip we had a couple of months ago to a magical place called "David's Fall".   It's a fall in the middle of Yehuda Desert, and the stream goes straight to the Dead Sea. We had a wonderful trip then, when we also climbed to the top of the fall. It was quite a challenging trip, but really worthwhile.

I used #213 sketch from Creative Scrappers:

I usded my June Counterfeit Kit for this lo - the kraft cs is Jillibean Soup and the dp, stickers and chipboards - are all Echo Park This&That Charming collection.

I used MME acrylic stapm (also in my CKC kit) with white acrylic paint on the right bottom corner, to mimic the water going down the fall, and added on the stamping chipboard, buttons, twine and brads for the water splashes.

דף חדש עם קיט החיקוי, לאתגר של "צבע", בבלוג של Counterfeit Kit Challenge. מאחר שאחת מהטכניקות האהובות עלי היא החתמה עם צבע אקרילי, שמחתי מאד לאתגר הזה.

כל החומרים בדף הזה הם מקיט החיקוי שלי של חודש יוני, שמבוסס בעיקרו על קולקציה של Echo Park שנקראת This&That Charming. הניירות המדוגמים שנבחרו תואמים את הצבעים שבתמונות, וכך גם הקישוטים (סטיקרים, צ'יפבורדים, כפתורים וסיכות מתפצלות).

התמונות צולמו ביום העצמאות האחרון, בטיול שעשינו לנחל דוד. המראה של המפל הגדול' שנשפך מקירות המדבר אל תוך הבריכה, נראה לי קסום בכל פעם שאני מגיעה לשם. בטיול הזה לא הסתפקנו במסלול המעגלי הקצר של המפל התחתון, והעזנו להמשיך במסלול של מיטיבי לכת, ולטפס במעלה ההר, לראש המפל. היה בהחלט קשה (מיטיבי לכת, לא?), אבל שווה כל שניה של קושי בטיפוס. המראה שנשקף מלמעלה פשוט מרהיב. הדף הזה הוא אמנם על החלק התחתון של המפל, אבל מובטחים גם דפים עם תמונות מהפסגה :).

Our first challenge this month at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog is a theme challenge - Travel inspiration.

Well, that's an easy one for me, since we just LOVE hiking :)

This is my #1 layout with my June counterfeit kit. I used #6 sketch from Scrap Africa:

I love the earthly tones of this lo, which go perfectly with theme and the photo. 

The photo is of me and my eldest, when he was about 9 months old. And no, I don't carry him on my back on our trips anymore....LOL.

I used two masks (Crafters Workshop), a homemade journaling tag, and stickers (Echo Park This & That Charming collection). I was very frugal, not only using the border sticker itself, but also the negeative (the strips from both sides of the photo).

האתגר הראשון החודש בבלוג של קיט החיקוי, Counterfeit Challenge Kit blog, הוא אתגר נושא - נסיעות/טיולים. זה אתגר קלי קלות בשבילי מאחר שאנחנו מאד אוהבים לטייל :).

התמונה היא של בכורי ושלי, כשהיא כבן 9 חודשים, יושב בתוך מנשא גב על הגב שלי בטיול שלנו עם חברים בחולות גבעת אולגה.

בדף הזה הייתי חסכונית ביותר :), לא רק שהשתמשתי בסטיקרים עצמם, אלא גם בנגטיב שלהם, כרצועות משני צידי התמונה. בפולניה אנחנו לא זורקים כלום, נכון? תמיד ימצא שימוש לשאריות :).

אז איזה טיול/נסיעה אתם מתכננים לקיץ הקרוב?

June Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog hop

Welcome to June Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog hop! If you arived here from Lisa's blog, then  you're on the right track. If you came here directly, you might want to start from the begining, so head over to CKC blog.

This months we are having Alison as our guest designer. You should really check her blog, cause she's super talented lady.

This month's challenge was not to counterfeit certain kit, rather building YOUR OWN kit, according to the following:

10 sheets patterned paper (all 8 pp are from EP This & That Charming collection)

8 sheets cardstock (mix of AC, Bazzill, Jillibean Soup and untitled ones)

2 alphabets (working in two languages, I allowed myself to put more alphas, in English and in Hebrew)

2 stamp sets (Kaisercraft & My Mind's Eye)

4 journaling spots (once again I've made my own journaling spots!)

3 TYPES of "misc" embellishments (so people can pick their favorite item like ribbon, or border stickers or silk flowers) (mine are: flowers (lots of them), chipboards and stickers. the chipboards and the stickers are also from the EP collection)

1 roll washi tape (Vintage Street Market tinted tape - aged)

1 OLD item/embellishment (like eyelets or fibers or chipboard) (mine was lots of lots of ribbons... really old stash that need to be used!)

1 Messy item (paint, stickles, embossing...) (TA glimmer mist chalkboard  - Peacock)

1 surprise item of your choice! (doilies! can't have a kit without them)

I kind of cheated on this one... I built my main kit and my add-on kit based on Echo Park 'This & That Charming' collection. I just loved the colors and the patterns and had to use it.

So there you are, my "Oh, that charming boy!" kit:

I've added 3 cardstocks and 3 pp (again, from This & That collection), some border strips and more ribbons, flowers, chipboards and alphas (the english ones are lilybee design, Buttercup collection, with the very same colors as my kit). I didn't put buttons on my kits, but I will add them while working on my layouts.

הכנתי גם קיט תוספת, ובו עוד 3 קארדסטוקים ו-3 דפים מדוגמים מאותה קולקציה, כמה רצועות בורדר, תוספת של פרחים, סרטים וצ'יפבורדים.

לא הכנסתי כפתורים הפעם, אבל אני בהחלט אוסיף אותם תוך כדי העבודות עצמן.

אני מאד אוהבת את הקיט שלי החודש ורק מקווה שיהיה מספיק זמן כדי להשתמש בהכל....

אז מה דעתכן להרכיב לעצמכן גם כן קיט שכזה? או קטן יותר? אני יכולה לספר לכן מהניסיון שלי בחודשים האחרונים שכאשר יש קיט מוכן, שהכל בו תואם, העבודה מהירה ויעילה יותר. ותחושת הסיפוק האדירה שהכל בנוי מחומרים שממילא יש בבית.

My take on #22 case file at CSI. The photo is of my youngest and I, when he was 5 months old. The hidden journaling is one of my longest ones. I wrote about my son's special way in this world, with his special personality. I also wrote about (some of) my wishes for him.

My clues to solve the case were:

For the eveidence - patterned ribbon (the dotty one), corrugated (white) cardboard, border punch.

For the testimony - I added trim to my journaling spot and wrote about 3 of my wishes for my son.

עוד אתגר משולב של צבעים, חומרים/טכניקות וג'ורנלינג. הפעם ברוח חגיגות יובל היהלום של המלכה אליזבת...

תמונה שלי עם צעיר הבנים, בשלהי חופשת הלידה, רגע לפני החזרה לעבודה. הפעם כתבתי די הרבה, יחסית אלי,  בג'ורנלינג החבוי מאחורי התמונה. כתבתי על הדרך המשותפת שאנחנו עושים, על מציאת מקומו המיוחד בעולם ומקצת מהאיחולים שלי עבורו.

Amazing (just the way u r) - a lo and some journaling tags

A lo I've made with what I got left from my May Counterfeit Kit. I only added the tiny alphas, the bingo card and some star sequins. I did some mix&match from different manufacturers: BasicGrey, Lilybee Design, and My Mind's Eye.

I used #2 sketch of the Sunshine Crop at Creative Scrappers:

The photo is of my eldest, about 4.5 years ago.
