Life is beautiful with you

A lo I've made, not as a DT assignment, but for a few challenges:
color palette - Color Me Scrappy #62:
I love these earthly tones!
inspiration - May challenge at Orange Paperie&Co.:
My inspiration was the circles on the 1st inpiration photo and the earthly tones plus the word 'Beautiful' from the the 2nd inspiration photo.
I used some StudioFourteen40's goodies - a flair (Je T'aime set 2) and a vellum dot (Everyday dot set 2).
Here are some close-ups on the details:

Crazy for you - CSI #123

Case file #123 is up at CSI, with a mysterious inspiration photo:
Well, my take on this challenge is more to the crazy side LOL. I used photos of my boys inside a 'shark' mouth, on our visit to the underwater observatory in Eilat 6 months ago. The boys had so much fun getting inside the shark's mouthe, making horrified funny faces.  They were really something :).
I used Carta Bella Rough & Thmble collection, and went crazy with the mixed media background. I used two flairs from StudioFourteen40 (Boys will be boys set 2; Post Mark set 1).
I used sketch 30.1 from May challenge at Page Drafts, which is called 'One of a kind', documenting that special and wonderful day. Here's the sketch:
My clues to solve the case were:
Scheme - all 5 colors are there.
Evidence - mixed media background, a creature (the 'shark'), rub-ons and stamps, drape something.
Testimony - I wrote my journaling directly on the background paper, all around the edges of the page, just like in the PD sketch. I also used the inspiration words 'mystery' and 'enchanted' to describe our experiences at the underwater observatory that day.
I would like to enter this lo also for the current challenge at Scrapki-wyzwaniowo, which asked to use at least 3 stamps. I used  4 different stamps on my background.

Good Times - Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge May 15th reveal

It's reveal time at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge blog, with a lovely sketch, drawn by Anne Pennington:
I turned the sketch to fit the photo of my boys, and of course I added more layers to the basic sketch.
My inspiration for the palette was from the extra challenge at Color Me Scrappy, with this moodboard (I tookd the left photo):
Tammy, the new owner of CMS, asked what do we like/dislike about color challenges. Well, I like color challenge for two reasons: first it makes me go out of my comfort zone, use colors of colors combo I normally don't use, and I feel it evolves my creativity. The second reason is that it makes me use some of my hoarded/neglected papers and embellies.
The palette I chose was one of my fav - green/blue/yellow/gray, so it was easy to work with it. I decided to use some of my most old and neglected papers - DCWV 'The Guy' stack and 'Cafe Mediterranean' stack. I added some scraps of Basic Gray and Echo Park, along with StudioFourteen40' flair (A Happy life set 3) and vellum dot (Everyday dot - set 1) and tab (Everyday tab set 2 - out of stock but I hope it will soon be back!).
I would like to enter it also to the Word challenge at Scrap&Play, with the word 'flowers'. my choises are: F-flair button; L-layers; O- one photo; W - white; E- Echo Park polka dots pp; R- round vellum dot; S - sequins.

Practicing Yoga in Nature - May 15th reveal at Stuck?!

May 15th is the day for a new sketch at Stuck?! Sketches, drawn by Laura Whitaker:
And this is my take on the sketch, with photos of my oldest practicing yoga in nature, with my SIL.
I used Simple Stories papers, mostly from DIY Boutique collection, wish some scraps from I {heart} Summer collection. I also used two StudioFourteen40's flairs (Joyride set 2 & Thrift Shop set 7).
I took inspiration from the colorful and cheerful moodboard at Sassy Scrapper:
I would like to enter the lo to May challenge at Scrap Our Stash: something old (the sequins and the alphas are much more than 6 months with me...), something new (the Simple Stories papers and the StudioFourteen40's embellies are very new), some fussy cut (the blueish flower and the squared frame were cut from  Simple Stories papers), something blue (on the pp, my boy's shirt on the photos).
I would like to enter it to the contest at Paper Issues, for the Simple Stories products.

Jerusalem of gold and light

This is my take on May challenge at White With 1, which is to use only white with gold:
Making a monochromatic layout is very challenging but eventually I was surprised how many shades of gold I used :).
The photo is of an alley in the Jewish Quarter Jerusalem, and it was taken on Hanukkah, when jewish people lit hanukkah lamps and put them outside their homes. It was a magical tour through the Jewish Quarter, with all the candles light, Jerusalem of gold and light.
I pulled out many embellies in gold that where so very neglected - stickers, golden fabric leaves, and rhinestones. I also used some long forgotten DCWV golden foil papers.
I also used altered chipboards - one I've made myself with a Sizzix die (and here's a tutorial on how I altered it), and the other is from Creative Embellishments, which I painted with gold acrylic paint. I also used some StudioFourteen40 gold sequins and a flair (Ledger set 2), and Creative Embellishments' photo corner chipboard.
So my layout is actually a mix of old and new, just like Jerusalem itself :).
Here are some close-ups on the details:

Please come back in a couple of days, as I have some new layout so share.
